Birthday Set Part 4 : The Favors

~ Hello Everyone ~
The Party is about to begin and the last touches to my little grand daughter's 1st Birthday Party is, of course...THE FAVORS!
A sweet little THANK YOU for each guest to enjoy as we have fun celebrating!  I cannot begin to tell you how much FUN I had making these. Once I got started, I couldn't stop! LOL! Check out the video to see how I put these together...

To display these cute little favors, I arranged them in a small glass container I got from Ikea. A few if these skattered around your party table and you've got instant decoration !
This idea comes from Kathy over at Paper Phenomenon ! She uses flowers from the George cart, but since I didn't have that cart, I used one of the flowers from Accent Essentials.
Please check out her video so you can see how she puts her flowers together ! Thanks Kathy for posting this great idea!

And don't forget, as a special THANK YOU to my wonderful followers, I am GIVING AWAY ...

Birthday Set Part 3 : The Cupcakes

~ Hello Everyone ~
We can't have a birthday party without dessert,  and for my little grand daughter's 1st party, cupcakes are definitely on the menu! I am absolutely in love with cupcakes! I'm so glad they've made a come back in recent years. Personally, they have been a constant favorite for me. I remember getting 25cents from my grandmother and swiftly making my way to the local bakery down the street! Ahhh, good times :) These days with the onset of paper crafting, cupcakes are more festive than ever!
Here's my take on this confection goodness...

Just a few simple ingredients, some kitchen tools and this recipe and you can make some yummy cupcakes too!

Dark Chocolate Frosting Recipe
frost 24 plus cupcakes

8 ounces Baker's Semi- Sweet Baking Chocolate Squares
4 sticks unsalted butter -room temperature
1 pound powdered sugar
2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
pinch of salt

Break up chocolate squares and place in a glass container like a glass measuring bowl, melt in microwave in 30 seconds increments, stirring in between to assist the melting, about 2 minutes. Do not over heat, just melt til smooth. Set aside. In the meantime beat butter until light and fluffy, then gradually add powdered sugar. Add salt and vanilla and mix until very smooth. Add chocolate slowly and mix until just incorporated.

Spanish Sayings and Winners

~ Happy Friday ~
I am so thankful to everyone for ALL the wonderful comments about the U stream and projects Ruthie and I shared earlier this week! You guys are great and we love you all!

I have two cards for you today, inspired by My Pink Stamper's newly released "Spanish Saying" sentiment set. Pretty glittery paper from DCVW is the star of the show today, so I decided to keep things simple. When you are working with gorgeous paper like this, sometimes simplicity is a nice way to go. Although I did throw in some heat embossing :)
translates to " For My Friend"
translates to "Good Luck"

I'm so excited to announce some WINNERS! Whoo Hoo...

Winner of the Tweezer Bee's is....

These super cute and easy flowers can be found on Shelly's blog. She offers the cut file for purchase for a $1.00. You will need to have either, Make-the-Cut or Sure Cuts A Lot to cut them out.

Ustream Recap aka Virtual Girls Night Out

~ Hi everyone ~
Ruthie and I had a great time last night with so many of you during our PJ's, Popcorn and Pajama's Ustream! It was a HOOT ! If you missed it, here is the link to the ...RECORDING . I will warn you though,  it went 4 HOURS! LOL!...I guess it was more like a "Virtual Girl's Night Out"  with some projects and giveaways thrown in all night! We had A BLAST!

Here's what we made and info/link to go with each project...
PROJECT # 1
I designed this votive candle holder using PSA Essential products! If you are interested in purchasing PSA they have an exclusive offer for my viewers! Isn't that AWESOME!
Go to...2 PREPPY GIRLS.com and received 10% OFF all PSA Essential Products. Just enter the code: CRAFTERS at checkout. The offer expires midnight 2/28.

 PROJECT # 2
Aren't these ROLLED FLOWERS AWESOME!
Ruthie found the cut file for these super cute and easy flowers on Shelly's blog. She offers the cut file for purchase for a $1.00. You will need to have either, Make-the-Cut or Sure Cuts A Lot to cut them out.
We had some technical difficulties, getting the roses together, during the giggle fest Ustream, but actually, they are super easy to make.  Ruthie and I are planning to make another quick video showing how to make them. We will have it posted by the end of the day.

PROJECT # 3 & 4
HEHE these are TOO ADORABLE ! Just makes me giggle to look at them ! Unfortunately, we cannot claim this super cute project as my our own idea. Ruthie found it on Tamara's super cute blog.
She  has a tutorial showing how to make them and she even gives you the cut file, of the box, for free! WooHoo! Makes the box that much cuter huh?
"Fun" sized candy bars fit in each box. Ruthie used Peachy Keen stamps for the bunny and leprechaun PKS- 450 Wide Eyed Kids Assortment
for the bunny's face and the PK-470 Happy New Year Face Assortment for the leprechaun's face. Both the bunny and the leprechaun were cut from the Simply Charmed cart at 4". Thanks so much to Kathy and Angelica at Peachy Keen Stamps for sponsoring us and donating two assortment sets!

  PROJECT # 5

It's a personalized etched casserole dish. Ruthie surprised me and personalized it for my family :) She purchased the dish at Wal-mart for $7 and used some vinyl, my Gypsy, Cricut, and some etching cream. It came out so cute and I LOVE it.

We want to thank Super Joy at joyslife.com for sponsoring us and donating a Vinylology DVD

PROJECT # 6
Looks like a simple box, right ? but...
It opens up to this! Isn't that SO COOL!

This Stationary Box, which I dubbed  "the transformer stationary box"  was originally designed by Jackie Topa @ Split Coasters Stampers. It looks complicated by it really isn't. I just had to share it with you! It holds, A2 size cards, 3x3 cards, tags, notebook, stamps, and match pen!  My version came together in about 30 minutes, however I was LAUGHING so hard at the Ustream, you may want to check out her awesome and super detailed tutorial and video!
Check it out HERE

Oops...and GUESS WHAT? ... we were having so much FUN that we ran out of time to do our last GIVEAWAY, so lucky you...Ruthie and I decided to give it away on our blogs TODAY !....
