WORKING GIRLS

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYBODY :))
The girls at work have gotten wind of my card making addiction. I guess it was only a matter of time. I have already been asked to make 3 cards for various occasions. It's funny because I didn't realize how many people prefer hand made cards as opposed to store bought, and are willing to pay for them sight unseen!
This is the latest one I made for a new baby boy birth. I just love the baby bottle on the Doddle Charms cart, it never seems to get old for me when making baby cards. I've used it a lot! I started making larger cards at 5.5 x 8.5.  Basically the size of an 8.5 x 11 piece of card stock folded in half and I found envelopes that fit them perfectly in my paper stash. They work great for cards that are from a large group since there is plenty of room for lots of people to sign them.

SUMMER WEDDINGS

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE :)
I'm so excited for Friday's! It's my day off from work and
I get to craft ! YIPPIE !
I've had so many wedding invitations this summer, it seems like all my friends kids are getting married, so I've been in my "Tie the Knot Cart" quite a bit lately. I made this bridal shower card for a sweet gal from church and I know she is going to make such a beautiful bride on her wedding day, can't wait to see her in her dress! Isn't it magical when a soon to be Mrs. finds that dress of her dreams and sees herself in the mirror for the first time ?!  I guess in one way or another all girls want to be princesses, BUT on your wedding day you can feel like a QUEEN :)
I love the play on words with this sentiment?! It's from SU and the papers are from K&Company.

QUEEN FOR A WEEK

Happy Monday Everyone :)
Is anyone looking for some help to get their creative juices flowing ? Well then, you might try heading over to the Paper Playtime Challenge Blog. This week I'll be the GUEST QUEEN and I'm very honored  :) My card today represents the theme for the week "MISS YOU".  I was sooo lucky to have won these Market Street Stamps at one of Peachy Keen's recent Blog Hops, gotta love hops :)  I was trying to give an old weathered tin tile look to my card by using the an embossing folder on the brown craft paper and inking around the edges. The craft paper absorbed the ink in sort of a blotchy way, sort of like rusting. What do you think? Did I pull it off? I used SU Markers to color in the image using the water coloring technique, BTW, one of my favorite ways to color).
Hope you all enjoy it and decide to hop on over and participate in the CHALLENGE :)
