PAPER PLAYTIME BLOG HOP

HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE
& WELCOME TO THE...
You are just going to love this hop... loads of inspiration, ideas and of course CANDY! So let's just get down to the
HOLIDAY NITTY GRITTY !!!

If you are here you must have come from Kathi's Blog
I bet you had fun there !

Now on to today's project !
I decided to make a "mini christmas cookbook" with my favorite holiday gathering recipes! I got the idea because lately I've been obsessed with my crockpot and cooking slow, so I thought a cookbook in the shape of a "slow cooker" or "pot" would be so cute! It is my VERY FIRST mini book and I must admit, I was very intimated. But with some perseverance and help from some of you "mini album experts", I'm super happy with how it came out! It will fit perfectly into my daughter in law's and daughter's stockings this year. Check out the video if you want more details :)

Check out the video tutorial for more details !

Details:
~Pot cut w/ Shadow feature @ 5 inches. For front and back cover use cereal cardboard, cut one flipped for mirror image, also cut with craft cardstock for inside page.
~Handle & Top cut @ 5 inches
~Words cut @ 1.5
~ Pocket cut at 2.5 inches and scalloped on one side, glue and trim to size
extras: white sazura gel, brown and black ink, chip board buttons, twine, dcwv patterned paper, craft cardstock, cereal boxes.

BLOG CANDY ALERT ! Just leave a comment here AND a way to get a hold of you and WIN and $10 gift card to Micheal's !

Now head off to your next stop Sandra's Blog
Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!
from my heart to yours !

  2. Alex!! I can't believe this is your first mini book. It is FABULOUS! As you were talking about a closure, my first thought was a ribbon with holes to thread it through and eyelets around the holes - and then you said it - so, great minds think alike I guess :) tfs I know your DIL will love it!

  12. Alex, Great Mini! WOW! :-)I agree for it having to be your first. It is Awesome. I have only used this cartridge a few times as well, my 13 yr old daughter loves to help cook and bake, as well as play on the big bug so I guess maybe she will be exploring our books a liitle more closely. I will have her ask family to write down recipes when we gather next time, Thanks for the idea. Thanks also for written sizes to the book it helps for a quick refeerence! Ginny from Fl
